Listen to that sizzle … that’s the sound of a tech billionaire-owned San Francisco Democratic club getting totally, completely burned.
The Mission Cultural Center’s theater on 24th Street was packed to the gills for the Democratic County Central Committee meeting on Wednesday night. The oppressive, choking body heat inside the building seemed to put everyone on edge, but none had as much reason to sweat as the Robert F. Kennedy Democratic Club.
Supervisor Aaron Peskin threatened to vote against RFK’s re-chartering (which, if enough Dems followed suit, could effectively cut it off from the Democratic Party), and a new effort to make campaign finance more transparent was proposed, taking aim squarely at the so-called citizen Kennedys… (more)
